Former Chief of Staff to the Imo State Government and governorship candidate, Uche Nwosu, has formally debunked reports suggesting that he has defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

He disclosed this in a statement while revalidating his membership at the ongoing e-registration exercise in his ward, Eziama Obaire, Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State.

Nwosu urged his people to come out en masse to register with the APC and actively support the party at all levels, from the grassroots to the federal level. He emphasized the importance of political participation and awareness.

The former governorship candidate described himself as a founding member of the APC, stating that he had no intention of leaving a party he helped build.

He reaffirmed that the former Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, and other members of the Rescue Mission team remain committed members of the APC.

“I remain a committed member of the APC. I will not abandon a house I helped to build,”, he said.

His clarification comes amid rumours that he plans to defect to the African Democratic Congress.
