Ejimakor made the remark while calling for accountability from Nigeria’s leadership over its handling of security issues in recent years.

Aloy Ejimakor, legal counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has demanded that those who have governed Nigeria since 2015 explain why they appeared to protect Fulani terrorists while targeting Kanu and IPOB.

Ejimakor made the remark while calling for accountability from Nigeria’s leadership over its handling of security issues in recent years.

Posting on X, Ejimakor said that recent actions taken by the United States had addressed concerns that, in his view, should have been dealt with long ago.

He questioned why successive Nigerian administrations from 2015 to the present allegedly treated suspected Fulani terrorists with leniency while taking a tougher stance against IPOB and its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

Ejimakor also raised concerns about what he described as unequal treatment, questioning whether ethnic considerations played a role in the government’s actions.

He said the situation has left many unanswered questions.

“Now that America has done what should’ve been done many years ago, those who ruled Nigeria from 2015 to date must explain why they pampered the Fulani terrorists but went after the IPOB and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who didn’t even qualify.

“Is it because they’re Igbo? So many questions,” Ejimakor wrote.
