Ogun Police Gives Update On Girl In Viral Video Who Alleged She Was R@ped In Her Home By An Anonymous Man

DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi said upon receiving information about the incident, the command directed the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Ibafo Division, to immediately reach out to the victim.

 

The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed it has launched an investigation into a viral video in which a young woman identified as Mirabel alleged that she was r*ped by an unidentified man in her home.

According to LIB, the spokesperson of the command, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, said upon receiving information about the incident, the command directed the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Ibafo Division, to immediately reach out to the victim. 

‘’''She was able to report at the Ibafo Police Station today, where the facts of the case were obtained. Preliminary findings revealed that the alleged act was committed within the Ogijo jurisdiction.

She was promptly escorted to a medical facility for assessment and urgent attention. Following preliminary treatment, she was conveyed to the Ogijo Police Station, the jurisdiction where the incident occurred, for proper documentation and continuation of investigative procedures.

Given her fragile condition, the victim has since been referred for extensive medical care to aid her recovery and to support the ongoing investigation.'' Babaseyi said

He added that the command is fully committed to ensuring her safety, wellbeing, and the diligent pursuit of justice in this matter.
