The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has secured victory over the All Progressives Congress (APC), clinching its first polling unit in the ongoing Area Council elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The election, which recorded widespread low voter turnout, saw the opposition coalition win polling unit 076, Sani Abacha Estate, Wuse, Zone 4, where Moses Paul, the ADC candidate for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), cast his ballot.

Of the 10 ballots cast at the voting point, ADC received 7, APC received 2, and 1 vote was declared invalid.

Paul had earlier alleged that his party’s agents were being intimidated and blamed the movement restriction for the low turnout.
