He said he was surprised by their decision and had asked the First Lady why she went to such lengths on his behalf.

Saheed Balogun, the popular Nollywood actor and filmmaker, has disclosed that Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his wife had arranged plans to send him overseas for medical treatment following a serious accident.

Balogun spoke in an interview on OYINMOMO TV, recounting how the crash left him in a critical condition.

According to him, the President and the First Lady quickly stepped in and insisted that he should be flown out of the country for proper care. He explained that although he later received quality treatment in Nigeria, the couple’s concern left a deep mark on him.

He said he was surprised by their decision and had asked the First Lady why she went to such lengths on his behalf. Balogun said she told him he was a star given by God and that his light must not go out.

He added that her words changed the way he sees life and kindness. The actor noted that from that moment, he understood the value of looking after others.

He said he learned that when a person cares for another person’s child, God in return watches over their own children.

He said: “When I had an accident. President Tinubu and his wife stepped in and asked that I be taken abroad for treatment. I was well treated in Nigeria. I asked aunty why she did it.

"She said, ‘You are a star of God, and they must not let your light dim.’ It was from her I learnt that if you take care of someone else’s child, God will take care of yours.”
