Total Horror! 14 Dead in Fire Outbreak and Building Collapse in Jigawa State

Incidents of serious fire disaster and building collapse in Jigawa State have left behind many irreparable damages to life and property.

Up to 14 people have been confirmed dead in a fire disaster and building collapsed last month in Jigawa state
 
This was disclosed by the state’s executive Secretary of State Emergency Management Agency, Alhaji Sani Yusuf Babura while fielding question to news men in Dutse, said “10 people died as a result of fire disaster and four others lost their lives as a result of building collapse”.
 
He added that the disaster of the fire outbreak was aggregated following the recent windstorm in the state, noting that the rural dwellers must desist from storing hay and constalk in their houses.
 
The Executive Secretary warned the people in the state, particularly the farmers against storing farm by products considered inflammable in their houses, saying instead such by products should be stored in the farm.
 
According to him, his agency has also warned those that were relocated to save places must remain where they were relocated to, saying government would not take it lightly with any community that refused to heed to the warning.
 
“At the beginning of this raining season 14 people died in fire disaster and building collapsed. Storing of hay and constalk aggravated the recent fire disaster in the state.

"We are therefore warning against storage of such farm by products in houses.”
