On Monday in Lagos State, leaders of the South West chapter of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) staged a protest to condemn the reported k!lling of Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in strikes carried out by the United States and Israel.
The protester converged around the Maryland axis in the early hours of Monday, denouncing the invasion of Iran.
It was gathered that the protesters were chatting with provocative words, demanding global condemnation of American intervention in sovereign nations.
The development has triggered fear in the area.
South West coordinator of IMN, Muftau Zakariya, who spoke to Leadership Newspaper, said the protest was to register their concerns over sustained Invasion of sovereign nations by the President Donald Trump’s administration.
He cited recent instances of Venezuela’s Invasion and seizing of the country’s president and energy infrastructure.
He said the heightened and sustained attack in Kwara state is coming after the US involvement in the country’s affairs.
“I said to you that nothing good is coming from the US intervention. It is only interested in their economic gains and not minding the consequences thereafter “, he said.
