It is a sad day for the Nigeria Football Federation, the Edo State Football Association and indeed all Nigerians as everyone is still in deep shock at the death of former Super Eagles Captain and Coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi, in the early hours of Wednesday.

Family sources said the 54-year-old, who buried his wife Kate only five months ago, had complained of irregular heartbeats and pain in his legs and was rushed to a nearby hospital in Benin City, capital of Edo State in southern Nigeria, where he was pronounced dead.

However, the legend, nicknamed ‘Big Boss’ will be remembered for giving home–based players ample opportunity to compete for shirts in the Super Eagles and for some other happy moments too.
