Commotion As Bandits Disguise In Hijabs, Attack Sokoto Community

Armed bandits reportedly disguised in women’s hijabs attacked Mallamawar Yari village in the Gawakuke ward of Rabah Local Government Area in Sokoto State on Saturday night, k!lling several residents and abducting others.

According to the post, the bandits attacked the village at night and carried out a massive assault while they were dressed in women’s hijabs, which allegedly helped them move around without raising suspicion.

During the attack, several residents were k!lled, while many others were abducted and taken to an unknown destination.

Bakatsine noted that the situation has raised concerns among residents, as attacks continue to occur in different communities across the state.

“Last night, armed bandits reportedly disguised in women’s hijabs attacked Mallamawar Yari village in Gawakuke ward, Rabah LGA, Sokoto State. Several residents were k!lled and many others abducted during the attack.

“With attacks continuing across communities in Sokoto State, the question remains; what concrete measures are being taken to halt the growing wave of insecurity in the state?,” Bakatsine wrote.

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incident at the time of filing this report.
