After carrying out the attack, the gunmen reportedly fled with an undisclosed amount of money taken from the POS stand.
An eyewitness who recounted the incident said the attack was unexpected and created panic among people nearby.
“It happened so fast. We never imagined such violence here,” the witness said.
As of the time this report was filed, the Benue State Police Command had yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
However, sources said security authorities have begun investigations into the k!lling.
Residents of the community have since mourned the victim, describing him as a hardworking young man striving to make a living.
They also sympathised with the bereaved family, offering prayers for comfort and strength during the difficult period.
