Nigerians have in the last one week experienced hike in petrol pump price which has in turn affected the cost of food, transportation and others.

Comedian Ekene Clinton Egbuna, popularly known as KlintonCod, has openly criticized President Bola Tinubu for remaining silent amid Nigeria’s rising cost of living.

Over the past week, Nigerians have faced a significant increase in petrol prices, a development that has sent ripples through the economy, affecting the cost of food, transportation, and other essentials.

The spike has left many citizens struggling to cope with daily expenses, heightening frustrations across the country.

Reacting to what he perceives as a lack of leadership communication, KlintonCod took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his displeasure.

In a candid post, he wrote: "But do you guys know how crazy it is to know that we have a president who feels like he does not need to speak to the citizens when need be, like it's not part of his role, and citizens deem it normal like it's okay. Kai!"

The comedian’s comments reflect a growing sentiment among Nigerians who feel left in the dark as the cost of living continues to soar.

Many have since joined the online conversation, calling for the President to directly address the nation and provide clarity on how the government plans to ease the financial burden on citizens.
