A Nigerian man currently living in China has shared a video online describing an experience he says left him feeling uncomfortable while riding a public bus.
According to him, the incident occurred during a routine bus journey when he noticed the reactions of two Chinese passengers seated close to him.
In the video he posted, the man recorded the moment the passengers appeared to cover their noses while sitting nearby.
While filming, he explained that he believed their actions were directed at him because he was the only Black passenger seated in that section of the bus. The man suggested that the gesture made him feel as though he was being singled out because of his race.
The short clip has since circulated on social media, sparking conversations among viewers about cultural differences, public behavior, and perceptions of race in different parts of the world. Some users expressed sympathy with the man’s interpretation of the situation, while others noted that the passengers’ actions could have had different explanations.
Despite the mixed reactions online, the video continues to attract attention as people weigh in on the moment captured during the bus ride.
