Fani-Kayode made the claim in a statement on Thursday, urging Momodu to stop criticising Tinubu
Femi Fani-Kayode, Nigeria’s ambassador-designate, has claimed that President Bola Tinubu supported Dele Momodu, publisher of Ovation Magazine, for four decades.
Fani-Kayode made the claim in a statement on Thursday, urging Momodu to stop criticising Tinubu
This is coming after Momodu criticized the President during a television interview.
Recall that Momodu in the interview on Channels Television, likened Tinubu’s style of governance to the dictatorship of former military Head of State, the late General Sani Abacha.
Responding, Fani-Kayode described the comment as misguided, uncharitable, and a reflection of a worrisome level of cognitive dissonance.
He asked the chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, to henceforth desist from further criticising the President, who he claimed fed and accommodated him for 40 years.
“Unlike Dele, I did not benefit from him (Tinubu) for close to 40 years, eat from his plate, collect handouts from him.
“I did not stay in his house, claim to be his brother and yet refuse to support him in achieving his dream of becoming President,” Fani-Kayode said.
