How Four Men Allegedly Impersonated Nyesom Wike To Dupe Military Officer Of ₦150 Million

Yashim Kajang, who lives at 3 Martin Elegoma Street, Nigeria Army Post Housing E, Phase 1 Kurudu, was taken into custody on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

 

Police have arrested four men for allegedly defrauding a retired military officer and others of over ₦150 million by impersonating the Nyesom Wike.

This information was contained in a statement released by Wike’s media aide, Lere Olayinka.

Yashim Kajang, who lives at 3 Martin Elegoma Street, Nigeria Army Post Housing E, Phase 1 Kurudu, was taken into custody on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

He reportedly convinced a retired Major General A K Ibrahim and several others that he had connections with the FCT Minister and the Director of Lands.

He allegedly promised to deliver land documents for Plot 1985 at Guzape II, Abuja, covering three hectares, along with other plots, and collected over ₦150 million from the victims.

During questioning, Kajang identified three others as his collaborators.

They are Stephen Mhambe and Danladi Jatau, both working in the Urban and Regional Planning Department of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, and Terngu Ipaven of 2 Chief Palace Road, Durumi 2, Abuja.

Kajang reportedly said the group provided him with land data and information that he used in the fraudulent scheme.

The four men are still under investigation as the police continue to gather more details about the case.
