According to the former Abia State Governor, the incident occurred during Saturday night’s heavy rain.
A powerful rainstorm has caused significant damage to structures within Camp Neya, the multimillion-dollar country home of Orji Uzor Kalu, located in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.
The lawmaker announced the incident via a post on his official Facebook page on Sunday.
According to the former Abia State Governor, the incident occurred during Saturday night’s heavy rain.
He, however, expressed appreciation to God, stating that no life was lost during the incident.
He wrote, “Last night’s heavy rain and strong winds caused some damage to parts of my country home, Camp Neya, Igbere.
“It’s a reminder that such incidents can happen to anyone. I thank God that no lives were lost and no one was injured.
"Grateful for His protection always”.
