The recently appointed executive members of the Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Anambra State chapter, have been asked by the governor of Anambra State's wife, Nonye Soludo, to utilize their positions to advance morality, health, and peace.

Soludo urged the ladies to view motherhood as both a privilege and a chance to strengthen families, enhance communities, and promote healthy lifestyles.

The First Lady, who is also the creator of the non-governmental organization Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo, stated that the program emphasizes the importance of good hygiene habits for all people, regardless of status or creed, and that it fosters a culture of inclusiveness and collaboration.

On Wednesday, she gave a speech at the Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria's new executive's inauguration in Onitsha.

Soludo, represented by Oluchi Ibezim, the Deputy Governor's wife, called on the new administration to give women's rights advocacy, family support, campaigns against gender-based violence, and interfaith harmony top priority.

"I extend my heartfelt congratulations to WOWICAN's new executive members and encourage them to use their new roles to further moral principles, healthy living, and peace.

"Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo speaks to everyone, regardless of creed or status, as a movement built on partnership and inclusion." “Where we see mothers, we see an opportunity to strengthen our households and improve our communities,” she said.

The Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, also known as WOWICAN, is the women’s arm of CAN, established in 1990 to unite Christian women across denominations in Nigeria.

The organization prioritizes gender equality, humanitarian aid, financial empowerment, and education, while also advocating for women’s rights, supporting families, addressing gender-based violence, and fostering interfaith unity.
