The leadership of Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has been praised by General Christopher Musa (retd.), Minister of Defense. He characterized it as significant and intentional.

According to a statement released on Friday by Ekerete Udoh, the governor's chief press secretary, Musa made this claim during a courtesy visit to the governor on Thursday at Government House, Uyo.

While traveling throughout the state, Musa expressed his admiration for the state's road system and stated that the accomplishments were not unachievable.

He claimed to have been a fervent supporter of the ARISE programs, pointing out that what he had observed on the ground demonstrated a government dedicated to the people.

"I hope that others will see what has been done and understand that these things are feasible; it's not difficult," he remarked.

Musa, who was in the state to give the convocation lecture at Akwa Ibom State University's combined convocation event, praised the governor for providing good administration in the state and expressed gratitude for his kind welcome and the chance to give the lecture.

He hoped that Nigeria would return to its former state of peace, particularly in the North, and mentioned that Akwa Ibom was calm because the people there felt loved and cared for.

Regarding national security, he stated, "President Bola Tinubu has done well, so part of the things we are doing to assist the government of the day is to put in the kinetic and non-kinetic energy.

"Good governance, which you are practicing here in Akwa Ibom, is non-kinetic, whereas the use of force is kinetic."

He emphasized that everyone has a part to play in managing security and urged the public to work with the government and report any suspicious activity in order to improve national security.

Eno's support of the Nigerian Army's 2 Brigade and other security units in the state was also praised by Musa, who reassured them of the various agencies' dedication to securing and promoting peace in Nigeria.

Eno expressed gratitude to the minister in his remarks for agreeing to give the convocation talk and for the breadth of the topic he covered

He said that Musa was still one of the nation's most respected generals and congratulated him on his appointment as Defense Minister earlier this year.

Eno expressed sympathy to the minister on the deaths of military commanders in several regions of the nation, thanked him for his current efforts, and urged the state's security formations to get additional assistance in order to strengthen their capabilities.

He thanked security services' cooperative efforts for the state's peace and promised ongoing support so they could carry out their job.

Maj. Gen. Akinjobi (retd.), Brig. Gen. O.M. Azuikpe, Col. E.G. Usibe, Lt. Col. O.E. Okokon, Capt. R. Nom, Capt. A.B. Bature, WO Sunday E, and S. Sgt. Abdul were among the minister's team members.
