Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has celebrated two students from Ilorin, Yusuf Abdurrahman Oreoluwa and Yusuf Maryam of Ar-Raheem International College, for their outstanding performance at an international spelling bee in Harare, Zimbabwe.

AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the governor of Kwara State, has praised two students from the state for their exceptional performance at a spelling bee competition in Harare, Zimbabwe, where they represented Nigeria and won a silver medal.
In a Facebook post on Friday, the governor expressed his congratulations to Yusuf Abdurrahman Oreoluwa and Yusuf Maryam of Ar-Raheem International College, Ilorin, for their outstanding academic performance on a global scale.
"I sincerely congratulate two Kwara students, Yusuf Abdurrahman Oreoluwa and Yusuf Maryam of Ar-Raheem International College, Ilorin, on their outstanding performance at a spelling bee competition in Harare, Zimbabwe," the governor said.
"The Kwara duo represented Nigeria at the competition where our country won the silver medal, along with Adeolu Oluwadamilola Oreofe, an indigenous of Ekiti State," he continued.
According to AbdulRazaq, the students' performance has qualified them to represent Nigeria in a worldwide competition that will be held in China in the upcoming months.
"These amazing kids are now qualified to represent our country on the international stage in China in the upcoming months thanks to the Harare feat," he stated.
The governor commended the students for being deserving representatives of the state and adding to its expanding reputation for academic prowess, calling the accomplishment "worthy of celebration."
"Oreoluwa and Maryam deserve our congratulations; this is definitely something to celebrate.
He said, "I thank them for being excellent representatives of our state, joining the prestigious league of Kwara schoolchildren who have had the world at their feet at various national and international competitions."
"I also congratulate Ar-Raheem College and their parents on this significant turning point in their kids' lives. "They ought to continue," he continued.
AbdulRazaq emphasized the significance of education for social advancement and connected the accomplishment to his administration's consistent investment in the field.
