Senate One Year Anniversary: Saraki Signs 2 Bills

The senate of the 8th Assembly dominated by the All Progressives Congress lawmakers has marked its first year anniversary under the leadership of Senator Saraki.

As part of the activities to mark the one year anniversary of the Senate, senate president, Bukola Saraki signed the senate's version of the following bills, which will be forwarded on to the House of Representatives for concurrence:
 
1. A bill to establish the Nigeria Institute for Soil Sciences (SB. 126), which has the mandate to regulate and standardise activities in the area of soil research across the country. This will help to preserve the environment.

2. A bill to provide a regulatory framework for the Agriculture Credit Fund (SB.20), which will promote commercial Agriculture in Nigeria, ensure credit support for production, and develop markets and agriculture as a business.
