A disturbing incident in Benue State has led to the arrest of eight suspects following the alleged beating and burial of a 32-year-old man, Nyamkyegh Mpalegh, in Kwande Local Government Area.
In relation to the alleged beating and burial of 32-year-old Nyamkyegh Mpalegh in Benue State's Kwande Local Government Area, eight people have been taken into custody.
The event took place in the Tse-Bata village, Mbakyagher Council Ward, on April 27, 2026, at approximately 5:30 p.m.
The circumstances surrounding the perpetrators' alleged attack and subsequent burial of the victim alive are still under investigation.
Following the report, a security team was sent to the scene, and eight persons who were thought to be involved in the crime were taken into custody.
Zagazola Makama, a security analyst, claims that the victim's body was subsequently excavated and placed in a mortuary for additional analysis.
He mentioned that research is being done to ascertain the motive behind the k!lling and ensure that all those involved are brought to justice.
