The Coastland Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies (CIES) has announced an ambitious plan to train at least 1,000 graduates across all 36 states and the FCT in practical and digital skills.

At least 1,000 graduates would receive training from the Coastland Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies (CIES) in all 36 states of Nigeria as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

The beneficiaries would receive training in ICT, hair styling, barbering, shoe manufacturing, fashion design, and other entrepreneurial skills, according to the group.

Elder Fred Obot, President General of CIES, announced this in Uyo on Monday during a joint news conference at the palace of Edidem Sylvanus Effiong Okon, the paramount ruler of Uyo. He stated that the graduates will receive start-up funds and certificates after completing the exercise.

In addition to providing practical training and skills, Obot pointed out that the effort will give young Nigerians work possibilities, which might help reduce crime and insecurity in the nation.

"In addition to training in skill acquisition, the institution will help create employment opportunities for Nigerian youths, eliminating the current high level of crimes and insecurity in Nigeria," he stated. Additionally, it will give its graduates starting funding and certificates. Every year, we plan to train 1,000 graduates each state.

Thus, he made a plea to Governor Umo Eno and other well-meaning Nigerians to support the initiative so as to lift many youths out of poverty and promote the economy.

Obot stated that the CIES Board of Directors has chosen to support the governor's reelection campaign as well as that of President Bola Tinubu and Senator Godswill Akpabio in light of the governor's outstanding performance.

Edidem Okon, Uyo's supreme king, praised the institute for its wonderful youth training project. Such a step will keep young people occupied and lower the crime rate, he continued.
