Veteran defender Ashley Young has announced he will retire from professional football after an impressive 23-year career, with his final appearance expected for Ipswich Town.

Ashley Young, a defender for Ipswich Town, has declared his retirement from professional football. After a 23-year career, he may make his farewell appearance in the team's upcoming game.

Young emphasized the famous stadiums he has played in throughout the years, from the beginning of his career to the largest platforms in Europe, as he reflected on his journey through the game.

The former player for Inter Milan and Manchester United hinted that his professional career would come to an end on Saturday.

However, this fantasy must come to an end, and my professional career may come to an end on Saturday. He declared, "23 years and out!"

"To be continued," he added.

Aston Villa, one of Young's former teams, responded to the news by commending him for an exceptional career.

One of the best players in Aston Villa's recent history, with 250 appearances and 40 goals. "The team posted on their verified X handle, "Congratulations on an amazing career."

Additionally, Everton posted, "Congratulations on a remarkable career, @youngy18," on its X handle.
