Chukwuma Soludo has forwarded a first batch of 18 commissioner-nominees to the Anambra State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation, marking a key step in the formation of his cabinet.

The first group of commissioner-nominees has been presented to the state House of Assembly by Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo for approval.
During Tuesday's plenary, Somtochukwu Udeze, the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, received the list and sent it to the Committee on Screening and Election Matters for review and potential verification.
There are eighteen nominees on the list, each with their own portfolio.
Ben Odoemena (Agriculture), Chukwukadibia Okoye, FCCA (Budget and Economic Planning), Udoji Amedu (Culture, Entertainment, and Tourism), and Ekene Ogugua (Education) are among the nominees.
Tobechukwu Nweke, SAN (Justice/Attorney-General); Offornze Amucheazi, SAN (Lands); Vin Ezeaka (Local Government and Community Affairs); Clem Aguiyi (Environment); Izuchukwu M. Okafor (Finance); Afam Obidike (Health); and Law Mefor (Information and Value Reformation).
Prof. Charles Ofoegbu (Petroleum and Mineral Resources), Chijioke Oseloka Ojukwu (Physical Planning and Urban Development), Casmir Agummadu (Power), Okey Ezeobi (Works and Infrastructure), Eddy Ibuzo (Transport), Esther Onyekesi (Women Affairs and Social Development), and Patrick Agha, MBA (Youth Development and Sports) are also listed.
Afam Obidike, Law Mefor, and Patrick Agha are among the commissioners who were kept from the governor's first term and returned with their prior responsibilities.
The Speaker sent the list to the appropriate committee for screening in accordance with legislative procedures after receiving it.
