Actor-turned-politician Kenneth Okonkwo has launched a fresh attack on former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, accusing him of causing division and instability within the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

During a visit on the Naija Symfoni podcast, actor and politician Kenneth Okonkwo made harsh comments against Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party. He also questioned Obi's purported involvement in the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Okonkwo asserted that Obi was a significant cause of internal strife within the party and that his presence brought "toxicity" to the ADC. He stated:
Peter Obi was the sole individual in ADC who was causing toxicity. He was the one who asked people to resign on his behalf. He went on to claim that Obi's political strategy divides people, saying:
He is naturally accompanied by chaos. As soon as he entered the party, the toxic "Obi or nothing" was introduced into ADC.
Additionally, Okonkwo asserted that Obi's departure from the ADC was brought on by his purported apprehension about internal democratic procedures, particularly primary elections. He claims that Obi has not often taken part in competitive party primaries during his political career.
"He is a man who is afraid of free, fair, primary elections," he said, explaining why he left ADC. He has never run for any political office during his career.
"He built his political career on sand and not on democracy," he continued, criticizing Obi's political approach. He developed an entitlement democracy mindset, which makes him fearful of internal democracy whenever he enters a party.
