A former Liverpool and England midfielder has predicted that a Bayern Munich striker could win the 2026 Ballon d’Or, citing his consistent goal-scoring form and influence at both club and international level.

The legendary Steven Gerrard of Liverpool has predicted that Harry Kane of Bayern Munich would win the 2026 Ballon d'Or.
The England captain, in Gerrard's opinion, should receive the top individual award.
Gerrard also discussed how the former Tottenham Hotspur player may win the Ballon d'Or in an interview with TNT Sports.
"More goals equate to better performances. It would be significant, in my opinion, if Kane could add another medal at the conclusion of the season. In reference to Kane's 2026 Ballon d'Or, the former Aston Villa manager remarked, "I think that probably puts one hand on it [Ballon d'Or] for him."
"I believe he would boost his case if he went out with England and had a successful campaign in terms of goals and where England gets in the competition.
"And nothing would make me happier than to see him succeed from now until the end of the season and win the individual prize he will so desperately want."
"He will want that in the back of his mind, and he deserves it."
Along with Ousmane Dembele, Declan Rice, Michael Olise, Lamine Yamal, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Kane is among the favorites for this year's Ballon d'Or.
