Controversial street-pop singer Portable has survived a road accident in Ogun State while heading to his newborn son’s naming ceremony.

Portable, a controversial Nigerian street-pop artist, was engaged in a lone accident on the way to his newborn baby's naming ceremony.
The event occurred on Thursday night in Ogun State, after he had a brake failure while preparing for the ceremony.
Portable said that he escaped death after driving his automobile into a ditch to avoid collision with another vehicle.
In a viral Instagram video, the singer stated, "My fans, join me in appreciating God. The collision occurred while I was driving out this evening.
"I didn't get hurt; nothing did me any harm." Abruptly, I saw that the car's brakes had failed. I thank God that my people have come to the scene of the incident and are not here to transport my body.
"For my son's naming ceremony, I have already purchased two cows. Thank God the trailer was not on the road when the accident occurred.
According to the DAILY POST, Portable and his wife, Bewaji, celebrated the naming ceremony of their new kid by giving away free ankara aso ebi clothing.
On Friday, May 1, 2026, Bewaji gave birth when Portable was boxing Carter Efe.
