Tragedy in Canada as 6-Year-Old Nigerian Girl Dies After Falling From 28th-Floor Apartment

A six-year-old Nigerian girl, Amna Ayomide Bennett, has tragically died after falling from a bedroom window on the 28th floor of an apartment building in Toronto.

Amna Ayomide Bennett, a six-year-old Nigerian child, died after falling from a bedroom window on the 28th story of an apartment complex in Toronto, Canada.

The terrible event took place at 200 Chalkfarm Drive in the city's North York neighborhood on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

Officers arrived at the location at approximately 8:15 p.m., according to Toronto Police. Although authorities are still unsure of how the youngster fell, police spokesman Amy Davey stressed that "it does not appear suspicious" at this point.

Superintendent Jack Gurr of Toronto Police also affirmed that no indication of malicious intent was discovered during the officers' examination of the residence.

In the meantime, friends of the family have started a GoFundMe campaign to support her relatives, and the Nigerian community in Canada has continued to lament the young girl's tragic death.
