"While returning from our industrial training at NVRI, I, a 400-level Crop Production student at the University of Jos, was subjected to an unlawful stop-and-search operation by police officers from what appeared to be an ambush squad operating without a designated checkpoint.

The search was selectively conducted on male students only, during which officers forcibly seized our phones. When I requested to see a warrant specifically authorizing them to search our phones, I was treated like a criminal and harassed."
