APC Disqualifies Over 20 Aspirants Ahead of Benue Assembly Primaries

The Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the report of its State Assembly Screening Committee, disqualifying more than 20 aspirants from participating in the party’s primaries for the 2027 House of Assembly elections.

The Benue State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has made public the report of its State Assembly Screening Committee, which has disqualified over 20 aspirants from taking part in the party's primaries for the 2027 Benue State House of Assembly elections.

The committee cited failure to comply with the party's guidelines and constitution as the basis for the disqualifications.

The APC called on all affected aspirants to accept the outcome of the screening exercise and urged party members to remain united as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.

The report was jointly issued by the Committee Chairman, Dr. Auwalu Ishiye, and the Secretary, Barr. Tijani Abdullahi, and contained a list of the aspirants who did not scale through the screening process.
