Former Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye winner Whitemoney has appealed to aspiring housemates to stop reaching out to him in hopes that he can facilitate their entry into the reality show.
The former housemate disclosed that his inbox has been flooded with messages from people seeking his influence ahead of the eleventh edition of the show.
In a video broadcast, he urged those hoping to participate to follow the proper process rather than looking for shortcuts, and made clear that he has no power to secure anyone's place in the Big Brother house.
Whitemoney acknowledged the difficult economic climate and the appeal of the show as a platform for fame and opportunity, but stressed that the only legitimate path into the house is through the official audition process.
He shared his own experience of auditioning four times before finally being selected, encouraging hopefuls to remain persistent even in the face of rejection.
He also issued a caution against falling prey to scammers who may claim to be able to sell spots on the show, urging intending participants to be vigilant and avoid parting with money for any such promises.
