A Federal High Court in Abuja has sentenced former Minister of Power Saleh Mamman to 75 years in prison after finding him guilty on all 12 counts of corruption linked to the Mambilla and Zungeru hydroelectric power projects.

A Federal High Court judge, Justice James Omotosho, handed down a 75-year prison sentence on Wednesday to Saleh Mamman, a former Minister of Power, following his conviction on corruption charges related to the Mambilla and Zungeru hydroelectric power projects.
Mamman was found guilty on all 12 counts brought against him, with the judge ruling that each sentence would run one after another rather than simultaneously, resulting in the cumulative 75-year term.
Justice Omotosho further stipulated that the sentence would only begin counting from the date of the convict's actual arrest.
The court additionally issued a directive to all security agencies across the country to apprehend Mamman wherever he may be found.
Furthermore, the judge ordered the forfeiture of all recovered funds and assets belonging to the former minister to the Federal Government, and also mandated that he repay the remaining balance from the alleged N22 billion traced to the two hydroelectric power projects.
