Nigerian military forces operating under the Joint Task Force, North East known as Operation HADIN KAI have recorded a series of significant successes across the northeastern theatre of operations, including the rescue of kidnap victims, elimination of terrorists, and arrest of suspected collaborators.

According to a statement by the operation's Media Information Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, troops acting on reliable intelligence conducted a targeted operation along a suspected terrorist crossing point on the Amuda-Gava axis in the Mandara Mountains region.

The operation resulted in the successful rescue of six abducted women and children who were residents of the Ngoshe community and had been held captive by Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists.

This latest rescue brings the total number of women and children freed following the attack on Ngoshe community on March 3, 2026 to sixty.

In separate operations, troops also recorded combat successes in Konduga Local Government Area, where two Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters were neutralized during a mission at Bazamri village.

Additionally, suspected terrorist collaborators were apprehended in both the Konduga and Yobe State axes as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle the support networks enabling extremist activity in the region.
