The scarcity of portable water in a northern school has forced the school into closure following agitations from the students.

There was unrest this morning at the Federal College of Education in Gombe State (TECH) following a protest over lack of water in the school.

The students were agitating against the attitude of the provost, Gimba Abbas Adam in helping them resolve the extended water scarcity.

Authorities have shut down the school as armed security men have been called in to control the students and prevent a breakdown of law and order.
