The Nigerian Armed Forces has reaffirmed its commitment to standing by the families of military personnel who have lost their lives in service to the nation.

This was stated by the Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, when he received Hassan Braimah, brother of the late Brigadier General Oseni Omoh Braimah, at the Ministry of Defence in Abuja.

The minister's remarks were contained in a statement released by his Special Assistant on Media, Leah Katung-Babatunde.

Brigadier General Braimah, a respected Infantry Officer of the Nigerian Army, died in the line of duty at Benisheikh on April 9, 2026.

The visit by his brother to the Ministry was seen as a reflection of the nation's deep appreciation for the sacrifices made by its military men and women, as well as the Ministry's determination to honour their memory by ensuring that their families continue to receive support and care.
