Nigerian socialite and businessman Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has revealed that President Tinubu remains somewhat cautious about fully embracing him, largely because of his Igbo ethnicity and his previous backing of Peter Obi during the 2023 elections.

Despite this, he has since become a vocal advocate for Tinubu's re-election in 2027.

Having been one of Obi's prominent supporters in 2023, Chief Priest publicly renounced that decision by early 2026, defected to Tinubu's APC, and even threw his hat in the ring for a House of Representatives seat in Imo State last month a bid that ended with only 14 votes.

He has attributed the streaming achievements of entertainer Peller to Tinubu's governance, and brushed off his detractors by pointing out that none of them can boast of owning a G-Wagon as he does.
