The spokesman of Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf, Sanusi Bature, has expressed doubt over a potential presidential ticket between Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, describing the partnership as one that cannot work.

Speaking on a online television programme on Wednesday, Bature pointed out that the two politicians hold very different opinions and political views, making it difficult for them to align in a way that would benefit the country.

He also noted that Kwankwaso had previously referred to Obi as a Biafra agent, making their current political alliance a surprising development for many in Kano.

Bature further highlighted the contradictions in Kwankwaso's position, noting that the same man who once boasted of having a PhD compared to Obi's undergraduate degree, and who claimed to be more politically experienced, was now seeking to serve as Obi's running mate.

He said Kano could not accept the partnership as it did not reflect the Kwankwaso they knew, describing him as someone who had always been straightforward in his political pursuits.

He concluded by saying the arrangement appeared temporary and that the fundamental differences between the two men made it unlikely the ticket would succeed.
