Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has credited Babcock University with shaping his life and career, making the declaration during a recent visit to his alma mater in Osun State.

The singer expressed pride in being a university graduate in an industry where many artists do not hold academic qualifications, noting that not everyone who starts school gets to finish.

He said he often boasts to colleagues about completing his education.

Davido graduated from the music department of Babcock University, where he also met his wife Chioma Adeleke.

He previously revealed that his father made completing university a condition for allowing him to pursue a music career.

Interestingly, several of his hit songs were released while he was still a student.
