Former Social Democratic Party presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo has said that defeating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 elections will require more than anger and emotional reactions, insisting that the opposition must focus on exposing failures in governance and economic hardship.

Former Social Democratic Party presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo has outlined what he believes is the key to defeating President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections, saying it cannot be achieved through anger and noise but through a clear focus on the issues his administration has failed to address.
Speaking in an online interview, Adebayo argued that the most effective way to challenge Tinubu is by holding him accountable on the basis of governance and delivery, pointing out that the president is in charge of government and is simply not performing.
He warned that relying on emotions and outrage alone would not be enough to unseat him.
Adebayo also expressed concern about the state of the Nigerian economy, describing it as unsustainable for ordinary citizens.
He noted that hardworking Nigerians, including government employees at middle and upper levels, are struggling to pay their bills despite putting in genuine effort.
He lamented that many people who were hopeful four years ago are now facing a reality far removed from what they had anticipated.
