Marwa Visits Injured NDLEA Officers After Violent Drug Raid Attack in Abuja

The Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Mohammed Buba Marwa, has visited two officers who were hospitalized after being violently attacked during a drug raid in Abuja.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Retired Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa, has paid a visit to two of the agency's officers who are currently receiving treatment at the National Hospital in Abuja following a violent attack during a drug raid.

The two officers sustained serious injuries after being attacked by a mob while conducting a raid on a well-known drug den in the Dawaki area of the Federal Capital Territory on Friday, May 15, 2026.

During the visit, Marwa expressed his sympathy to the injured officers and conveyed the full support of the NDLEA management.

He stressed that their dedication and sacrifices in the fight against substance abuse and illicit drug trafficking are of immense value to the nation.

The NDLEA chief also commended both the agency's medical team and their counterparts at the National Hospital for their swift response and the quality of care provided, which has since stabilised the condition of the two officers.
