Nigeria's First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has called on Muslims to reflect on the core values that the Eid-El-Kabir festival represents, including sacrifice, obedience, faith, and compassion.

In her goodwill message to Muslim faithful across Nigeria and in the diaspora, the First Lady described Eid-El-Kabir as a meaningful occasion that goes beyond celebration, urging all Nigerians to use the period to embrace peaceful coexistence and live in harmony with one another.

She identified unity, mutual respect, and a shared dedication to building a society rooted in love and understanding as the true pillars of national strength.

The First Lady also called on the Muslim community to honour the spirit of the festival by reaching out to those around them particularly the vulnerable and less privileged through acts of kindness and generosity.

She noted that such gestures have the power to renew hope and bring comfort to many who are in need.
