Human rights activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has once again sparked conversation online after boldly declaring that if he were to become Nigeria's president, his minister of defence would be "a drone" a statement he made during an online interview while discussing the country's security crisis and the role of technology in combating t+rrorism and insecurity.

Sowore argued that Nigeria must urgently adopt short-term security measures built around advanced technology, capable military leadership, and a more focused and disciplined police force.

He criticised the current state of affairs, saying military officers should be actively engaged in f+ghting w@rs rather than competing over land allocations in Abuja, and that police officers should be concentrated on genuine internal security work rather than escorting VIPs or arr£sting people over social media posts.

Doubling down on his technology-driven vision, Sowore declared that his belief in the power of modern warfare tools is so strong that a drone would effectively serve the role of defence minister under his administration.

He described his ideal security setup as a centralised control centre where operatives would remotely track and neutralise t+rrorists using technology.

When the show host suggested that artificial intelligence could also play a significant role in national defence, Sowore agreed, saying it would be an integral part of the approach he envisioned.
