Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo has announced that both the state and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) will throw their weight behind President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027.

Soludo made this declaration while speaking to members of the City Boy Movement, Anambra State Chapter.

He explained that his political decisions are always driven by the welfare of the people of Anambra and the broader Igbo community, and that he operates strictly on what he calls "politics of evidence" meaning he aligns with those who deliver tangible results.

As a demonstration of the benefits of working with the current federal administration, he pointed to the Federal Government's swift approval of Anambra's proposed aerotropolis as a Free Economic Trade Zone, describing it as the fastest response he had ever received from the federal level on any such request.

While acknowledging that APGA remains a distinct political party, Soludo argued that it shares progressive values with the ruling All Progressives Congress and that cooperation between the two parties would ultimately serve the best interests of the South-East region.

He urged progressive political forces to set aside partisan differences and collaborate in pursuit of Igbo advancement and accelerated development in Anambra State.

In his remarks, the governor made clear that he does not play politics for the sake of it, but rather pursues alliances that yield real, measurable benefits for his constituents and that supporting Tinubu in 2027 is a reflection of that philosophy.
