Suspected terr%rists stormed the Ijalu area of Egbe in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State on Wednesday evening, abd¥cting a woman and her toddler in an att@ck that has sent shockwaves through the local community.

The victims were named as Mrs. Idowu Kemi Titilayo and her young child, who were seized by the armed assa*lants during the raid around the Solid Rock School axis of the neighbourhood.

According to community sources, the att@ckers struck at dusk, shooting sporadically and throwing residents into a state of panic, with many fleeing in different directions to escape harm.

A resident who requested anonymity for safety reasons recounted how the g£nmen operated freely for several minutes before making away with their victims, stating that the terr%rists arrived without warning, were heavily armed, and that no one could challenge them before they abd¥cted Mrs. Kemi and her little child and vanished into the surrounding area before any help could arrive.

Residents have voiced deep concern over the increasing regularity of such att@cks in the area, saying the worsening security environment has left many people living in a constant state of dread.

Community members are now urgently appealing to security agencies to respond swiftly and rescue the abd¥cted mother and her child.

The latest kidn@pping adds to a troubling pattern of abd¥ctions and vi%lent att&cks that have continued to plague communities across Nigeria's North-Central region.
