Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington, known for his hit track "Bang Da Daga," has sparked widespread conversation online after sharing a clip expressing frustration over steep parking charges at the MMA2 terminal of Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos.

In the three-minute clip, the rapper lamented that parking rates at the terminal rose in April 2026 to ₦50,000 per night for saloon cars, leaving him with a bill of approximately ₦203,500 for four days.

The clip resonated with many Nigerians, drawing a wave of reactions online. While some expressed empathy, others offered practical alternatives, including cheaper parking options at Agege train station and the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital.

Many also used the opportunity to air broader grievances about the rising cost of living amid inflation.

A few commenters, however, questioned whether the situation could have been avoided with better planning.

Overall, the episode highlighted the travel-related frustrations faced by ordinary Nigerians and celebrities alike.
