Joy broke out among police officers in Abuja after a successful late operation led to the rescue of five kidnapped victims from the Paze community in the Byazhin area.

Nigeria Police officers in Abuja were captured in high spirits following the successful rescue of five kidn@pped victims from the Paze Community in the Byazhin area of Abuja.

The FCT Police Command says a coordinated operation by its crack team has led to the rescue of five kidn@pped victims in the Byazhin area of Abuja, following recent abductions in the Paze Community.

Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohammed Sanusi personally led the joint security team on a late-night clearance mission that resulted in a gun battle with the suspected criminals.

Two suspects were eliminated during the operation, while two others were arrested. Security operatives also recovered two AK-47 rifles and magazines, as several members of the gang escaped with gunshot wounds.

Police said sustained pressure on the kidn@ppers forced them to abandon five hostages, who were rescued unharmed and taken for medical evaluation.

Efforts are underway to reunite them with their families.

Security operatives have since intensified search operations across Byazhin and surrounding communities to apprehend the fleeing suspects and dismantle the criminal network.

The command has urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
