Troops Rescue Two Kidnapped Victims in Night Operation as Search Continues in Kaduna

Military personnel under Operation Enduring Peace have successfully rescued two kidnapped victims during a late-night search-and-rescue mission in Kaduna State’s Sanga Local Government Area.

Troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) have rescued two k!dn@p victims during a search-and-rescue operation in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The development was disclosed in a post shared online by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama.

According to military sources, troops of Sector 7, Sub-Sector 71, deployed in Sanga, responded to reports of sporadic gunfire along a highway near Kwagri village at about 3:00 a.m. on June 15.

On arrival, the troops discovered that suspected k!dn@ppers had abducted three persons from the area and immediately launched a search-and-rescue operation in nearby bushes to track the assailants and secure the victims' release.

The operation led to the successful rescue of two of the abducted persons, while efforts remain ongoing to locate and rescue the third victim.

Military sources said troops have since intensified patrols and combing operations in the area as part of efforts to apprehend the k!dn@ppers and forestall further criminal activity, with the broader operation aimed at enhancing security and safeguarding residents of the affected communities.
