Troops Exhume Body of Suspected Terror Kingpin for Autopsy After Foiled School Attack Plot

Nigerian troops have exhumed the remains of a suspected terror and kidnapping kingpin, Kachalla Ibrahim Battijo, from a forest in Kogi State for forensic examination following his reported death during a military operation.

Nigerian troops have exhumed the body of suspected t3rrorist kingpin, Kachalla Ibrahim Battijo, from a forest near Iluke in Bunu District, Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, for an autopsy.

The operation was led by the Commander of 12 Brigade Lokoja, Brigadier General Karim Sidi, who personally led a team of soldiers into the remote forest where Battijo had been buried.

Battijo was reportedly k!ll3d on June 10, 2026, during a military operation that foiled a planned mass @bd*ction of students sitting for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in Iluke.

Military authorities said the operation also led to the dismantling of parts of his criminal network, noting that the suspected t3rrorist leader had allegedly been linked to several k!dn@pping and b@ndit activities in the region.

The exhumation was carried out to allow for an autopsy and further investigations, as security agencies continue efforts to combat t3rrorism in the area.
