Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has cautioned Corps members against participating in political campaigns, demonstrations, or any other activity that would link them to a political party.

The Director-General noted that Corps Members have bright futures ahead of them and encouraged them not to allow negative influences derail their goals.
He further advised them to embrace financial prudence, cultivate a savings culture, and uphold discipline in their conduct throughout the service year.
He motivated the Corps Members to make the most of their service year by fostering national unity and integration through enduring friendships that transcend cultural boundaries.
He also encouraged their active participation in the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme, while urging them to explore investment opportunities within the capital market as a strategy for securing their financial future.
According to him, the formal launch of the NYSC/Kudimata Capital Market Awareness Sensitisation Programme in Lagos was aimed at equipping Corps Members with essential knowledge about the capital market, noting that the programme is designed to empower them with financial literacy and investment skills that would enable them make well-informed financial decisions.
