A legal case involving popular Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has been pushed to a later date after the court granted an adjournment to allow the defence more time to prepare.

A Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned until October 13 and 14 an assault and battery suit filed against rapper Odumodublvck, whose real name is Tochukwu Ojogwu, after the defence sought additional time to prepare its case.
The lawsuit was filed in November 2025 by Levi Ogbogiri, also known as Kraziecent, who alleged that the rapper att@cked him without provocation during a public event on December 16, 2024.
Ogbogiri claimed he was peacefully taking photographs and recording videos when the incident occurred, and that the alleged att@ck amounted to assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress, and also resulted in damage to his iPhone 15 Pro Max.
At Tuesday's hearing before Justice Adeyemi Ajayi, counsel to the claimant, Uchenna Ojembe, informed the court that his client the sole witness in the matter was present and ready to proceed.
However, defence counsel Damilare Adeojo applied for an adjournment, citing a pending motion filed in November 2025 that had already been served on the claimant's legal team, and requesting more time to adequately prepare.
Ojembe opposed the request, noting that the defence had previously secured several adjournments, and urged the court to grant the delay only on condition that costs of N500,000 be awarded against the defence.
Adeojo rejected the proposed sanction, while Justice Ajayi urged the claimant's counsel to extend professional courtesy to his colleague before granting the adjournment.
The case has faced repeated delays, including an earlier postponement in May when proceedings could not proceed due to the absence of the defendant's counsel.
