Prince Abubakar Audu University in Anyigba has arr£sted two more suspected cult members as part of its ongoing crackdown following the m*rder of a 300-level Biochemistry student, David Solomon, on June 11 within the university environment.

According to a statement by the institution's Public Relations Officer, Uredo Omale, the suspects Fidelis Atuluku and Monday Okolo, both 100-level students of the Department of Social Studies/Education were traced and arr£sted on campus on Tuesday following a tip-off.

They were found in possession of charms and have conf£ssed to being members of the Juris Confraternity, admitting they were initiated before gaining admission into the university.

The suspects are to be handed over to law enforcement agencies for further investigation and prosecution.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Salisu Usman described Solomon's k!lling as painful and unacceptable, stressing that cult-related violence posed a direct threat to the university's academic mission.

He reaffirmed the institution's resolve to sustain its anti-cultism campaign until order is fully restored, and urged parents and guardians to monitor their children and guide them on the associations they keep.

Usman also disclosed that the university has opened an amnesty window for cult members willing to voluntarily surrender, sign undertakings and publicly renounce their membership.

A formal renunciation ceremony is being planned for those ready to embrace lawful conduct, with interested individuals directed to report to the Office of the Chief Security Officer or the Dean of Student Affairs.

The university assured that investigations into Solomon's d£ath are ongoing and that security surveillance on campus has been heightened to prevent further incidents.
